Regulation Cornhole Bags | How to Make Your Own

A 5 Step Do It Yourself Guide for Making ACA Regulation Cornhole Bags

Are you a cornhole player that's considering making your own bags? If you are, you should aim for making regulation bags. By using the American Cornhole Association's specifications, you guarantee yourself a high quality set of cornhole bags.

ACA regulations state each cornhole bag must be made of 2 fabric squares with quarter inch double stitched seams on all 4 sides. The fabric should be 12oz duck canvas. The filling should be approximately 2 cups of feed corn. Finished bags measure 6" x 6" and weight between 14 and 16 ounces.

Winter Cornhole in North Carolina?

This past summer, my wife and I traveled to North Carolina on vacation from Cleveland, Ohio. We chose the Outer Banks of North Carolina for several reasons, the great weather, beaches, tourist attractions, and of course the southern hospitality that the north often lacks. As we enjoyed our vacation, I began thinking about how awesome it must be for the great residents of North Carolina come winter time. The reason you commonly see both short and long cornhole boards is because there are two different types of boards, tailgate and tournament. Tailgating cornhole boards are a foot shorter and an inch thinner (sometimes more) than tournament cornhole boards.
